Start With Yourself
Build a strong foundation for how you continue to develop as a leader. It takes intention and choice to lead effectively, not a natural set of gifts.
Make the choice now, decide how you want to lead, the approach you want to take, and the impact you want to have on others.
Take a close look at how you’re currently managing and leading, and the results you’re getting, so you can plan your next steps for moving towards your best.
Build a Fully Accountable Team
Every practice wants a culture of accountability. The reality is that very few are built that way.
Many don't even know where to begin.
And yet, when you build an accountable culture in your hospital, you are setting the stage for sustainable success, adaptability, and high performance.
Building an accountable team means people are thinking about what they can do better, what they get to own and accomplish, and what they can do to help. They wonder what opportunity they can capture, what difference they get to make in the future ... that is what great leaders build.
It’s about leading in a way that causes a group of people to focus more on the future than the past, more on solutions than problems, more on ownership than blame, and more on proactive choices than reactive impulses.
Make Change Happen in Your Practice
Did you know that you have the opportunity to make change happen faster and easier within your practice?
Learn how to build a system for creating change in your world.
It’s no longer about just what the management thinks needs to happen, the whole hospital has empowerment to try to decide the best direction for us to take.

No one ever said that change is easy, but with the right system in place you can learn to embrace it and move towards it with less resistance from your team. Moving toward change can even lead to a better culture for your practice and help you to uncover more efficient ways to work.
How you lead change will ultimately determine how well change happens.
Coach Your Team to Improve Performance
How you coach and have conversations with those in your practice affects how your team improves. Coaching isn't about instructing others how to do things differently.
Effective coaching is about asking questions that allow your team to choose to think and do things differently.
With a destination, a reason, an intention, and a plan in place, your team can create lasting change. And with your support as their coach, your team can improve their performance and create a better future for the practice.
Find and Hire Exceptional Talent
The process you use to bring the best talent into your hospital affects everything.
We went from having only a couple applicants; ones that we weren’t even really excited about, but they were our only choices. Today when we put an ad out, we’ll get flooded with 20 to 30 applicants within hours.

Dedicating the time now for planning and improving your talent processes will ensure a productive and successful practice tomorrow.

“
This program has made me realize that I need to make a conscious effort every day to be present in the moment, handling problems as they happen. That if I want to hire great new employees I must look at team members here and find their great qualities, list them and look for those. If an employee is having difficulty, ask them the questions that empower them to find solutions while keeping our protocols.
Enjoy every day, at work or at home, by finding work/life harmony. Supervising is not easy, we learn as we go and together find solutions. Also, I am not the only one that struggles. Being in a group you realize you are not isolated and in some way we all struggle. That was comforting news.
